I’m so excited about this! My book is out in hardcopy! I’ve got lots of reviews about the book, and I thought you should read this as well:

‘Everyone has the right to love and to be loved’, that’s one to take-home from Azeezat Okunlola’s sweeping novella, ‘Red Fuse Trip’, set in the late 20th century Nigeria. It is a dazzling story of love, hatred, betrayal, class discrimination, selfish parental influence on marriage among other things. It tells a beautiful love story between two young lovers, who gapped by class differences, have their love challenged by an unheralded separation orchestrated by a parent.

The story takes a vivid exploration of the social stigma associated with single parenting. With the use of anagnorisis, Azeezat was able to come out of the blues and surprise the reader, twisting the story to an end which is least expected.
